Twelve Adventures

Trip Levels & Physical Rating

Every adventure we offer is assigned a physical rating to help you understand the activity level and choose the experience that fits you best.

All our tours — hiking, climbing, or canyoning — are active, guided outdoor experiences that take place in small groups across diverse mountain terrain and natural environments.

Each adventure is categorized based on its physical demands, duration, elevation gain, sleeping comfort, terrain type, and technical difficulty.

Our levels range from relaxed and beginner-friendly experiences to challenging high-altitude mountain routes.

This simple system helps you match your fitness level, outdoor experience, and personal goals with the right activity — whether you’re looking for a gentle introduction to Mount Olympus or a demanding alpine challenge.

For a complete understanding of what each tour involves, we recommend reading the full itinerary page, where distances, elevation changes, duration, and terrain details are clearly explained.

Choosing the right level ensures you enjoy your adventure safely, confidently, and to the fullest.

LEVEL 1: EASY

Ideal for new adventurers or those who enjoy staying active at a relaxed pace.

  • Expect 2–4 hours of gentle outdoor activity
  • Short hikes, entry-level canyoning, or experiences focused on local culture and nature
  • No prior experience required

Just make sure you’re feeling fit, healthy, and injury-free so you can fully enjoy the day.

LEVEL 2: EASY–MODERATE

Perfect for adventurers ready to take things a step further.

  • Single-day activities such as hiking or canyoning
  • Usually 4–6 hours in duration
  • A basic level of fitness or light exercise beforehand helps

No previous experience is necessary, but being active will enhance your enjoyment.

LEVEL 3: MODERATE

Designed for active individuals who want to explore more remote and adventurous terrain.

  • Expect 4–6 hours of steady hiking
  • Possibly spread across multiple days
  • No technical experience required, but preparation helps

Regular physical activity beforehand will help you feel confident and ready for the challenge.

LEVEL 4: CHALLENGING

For adventurers prepared to take on longer and more demanding days in the mountains.

  • Expect 6–8 hours of hiking daily
  • Often in steep or rugged terrain
  • Overnight stays in tents or emergency refuges may be part of the journey

Participants should feel comfortable spending full days outdoors and be physically well-prepared for sustained effort.

LEVEL 5: TOUGH – TECHNICAL

Created for experienced and highly active individuals who want to push their limits.

  • Single or consecutive days of 8–9 hours of activity
  • Wild, remote environments with increased physical demands
  • Previous experience and solid preparation required
  • May include technical terrain

These trips are designed for those seeking a true alpine challenge.
