Pantheon is 3-day hiking experience across the most iconic landscapes of Mount Olympus. From forest and historic trails to alpine meadows and rocky peaks, this package is a popular choice for solo hikers, families, group of friends who want to discover the highlights of the mountain.

Full Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Litochoro.

Meet up with your guide/leader and the group at 12adventures Base, just 100 meters from the main city square.Quick check up and transfer to Prionia.Enter Olympus National Park and  the E4 trail beside the Enipeas Gorge. Walk for beneath beech trees and dark pine forest as the mountain slowly reveals itself.

Reach Refuge A (2,100 m) after a half-day hike. Check in, settle down, share a hearty meal, and exchange stories as the light fades away.

  • 12:00 Meeting at 12adventures Base
  • 13:00 Transfer to Prionia
  • 14:00 Start Hiking on E4 trail (3-4 hours)
  • 18:00 Arrival at the Refuge A and rest

Day 2

Wake up, get a Greek coffee with your breakfast and prepare for the hike. Ascend toward Stavraities Peak (2,626 m). The landscape turns alpine. Continue higher to Skolio (2,911 m), the second-highest peak of Greece, just below Mytikas.

Traverse across the mountain, towards the legendary Plateau of the Muses, surrounded by famous peaks such as the Throne of Zeus and Profitis Ilias, the highest chapel in the Balkans.

Watch the sun set over Olympus from one of the most iconic high-altitude landscapes in the country.

  • 7:00 Wake up & prepare for ascent
  • 8:30 Start hiking to peaks and the plateau of muses(6-7 hours)
  • 15:00 Arrival at Plateau and rest
  • 18:00 Ascent to Prophet Ilias chapel (Optional)

Day 3

Watch the beautiful Greek sunrise before descend. Rocky terrain gives way once more to forest.

Stop for coffee and rest at Petrostrouga Refuge.

Continue downhill through shaded trails, closing the circle through Olympus National Park and completing the Pantheon.

  • 8:30 Departing from Refuge and plateau (6-7 hours)
  • 15:00 Arrive at Gortsia and transfer back to base
  • 16:00 End of program

What to Bring

  • 30-40lt backpack
  • Hiking, worn in shoes or boots
  • Waterproof jacket with hood
  • Down or synthetic jacket
  • Warm set of clothes
  • 2 Sweatshirts per day
  • Long sleeve shirt
  • Shorts and long hiking pants
  • Sleeping bag, liner or similar for the overnights. (Blankets are available at the refuge).
  • Headlight, torch or similar
  • Sun screen, sunglasses and a hat
  • Towel
  • Trekking poles (Available for rent at the base)
  • Camera (Best photo of the season earns 50% off for two on any of our activities).

  • Any personal medication ( You should declare it before the begging of the trip)

In Greece, immediate rescue services — such as helicopter evacuation or rapid response teams — may not always be available in remote mountain areas like Mount Olympus.
